Since you’ve decided to start self-care as a priority, You might as well keep tabs on it! Did you get back from a long and tiring seminar and conference? An active mind of self-care should let you know that it’s time to let your mind and body rest. It is advisable to set a reminder, make ticks on their calendar, to remind you, so you don’t miss taking care of your health.

Research has proven that staying in the same place could adversely affect our mental health. Working throughout the whole year with no vacation can cause your body, mind, and spirit to face a deteriorating meltdown. The natural environment can improve your mood and reduce blood pressure, and this is why it is essential to leave the work zone. You can initiate a 5-minute self-care break let your mind and body have a little rest. You can take a walk to listen to your favorite songs.

BE CONSISTENT WITH SELF CARE

Imagine starting a journey and stopping halfway through; that’s messed up. You can reach your destination if you’re consistent; you don’t need to give up. Keep to your self-care appointments, it’s easy for us to show up at seminars and functions, but we find it challenging to show up for ourselves and our well-being. Self-care should be a consistently observed routine for a sound and healthy mind.

Ignoring the importance of self and not others can make us go to the extreme of making other people happy at the expense of our convenience. Sometimes not being able to give is okay too! To actualize self-care, You should learn to say no inconsistency and say no to failed appointments with yourself.
